Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Problem
The beauty industry contributes 120 billion units of packaging every year, with the majority of it not being recyclable, making the beauty industry the top offender for creating plastic waste. Currently, 79% of all plastics produced end up being littered or put in landfills.
Research has found that over 56% of Brits don’t recycle bathroom products because of the inconvenience. A study found that plastic was found in a third of UK-caught fish. Microscopic plastic beads, fragments and fibres cause irreparable damage to marine life and contaminating our diets.
Solution
We are proud to offer refill bottles for your mists, washes and gels. The mist refill allows you to fill your bottles another 5 times, reducing delivery fees and saving you time reordering your favourite products!
Once you are finished with your bottle, simply return it to us and receive a 20% off discount code towards your next refill bottle. We also are happy to introduce our scheme with Terracycle where we can collect the parts which aren’t so easy to recycle such as lids, caps and pumps. Simply post to us and we will take care of the rest.
Our refillable product is a great way to prolong the use of material value and additionally minimising the new materials needed and lowering transport costs, resulting in lower CO2 emissions.
How to recycle and reuse your other beauty and cosmetic products
When using the rest of your skincare products, it is important to note that the correct recycling measures must be taken if the brand does not offer a recycling scheme. Wash the product in warm soapy water or put through the dishwasher and reuse your jars to store small accessories, candles and stationary!
PLEASE NOTE: cotton wool and regular cosmetic wipes are not recyclable or flushable! Try cleansing with face flannels or makeup removing clothes which can be put in with your washing load.
