Celebrating International Women's Day 2021
This International Women's Day, we appreciate the social, political and economic achievements of women all over the world. It's also a day we stop and look at the history of the struggle for gender equality. Fast forward to now and look at how far we've come and how far we have to go.
Let's educate ourselves on women like; Angela Davis, Maya Angelou, Amelia Earhart, Serena Williams, and many more that have inspired change to close the gap on gender equality. Not to mention the women that we have by our sides at all times, our mums, sisters, grandmothers, aunties and friends. Today and all days, we recognise their importance in our lives.

No words said more accurate than by Gloria Steinem in the quote above. The issue will need to be faced collectively, but what are ways we can tackle gender inequality?
- Support women-owned brands and companies that speak up to promote diversity in the workplace.
- Educate yourself - engage with works about women's struggle in history, watch documentaries and follow insightful feminist social media accounts.
- Encourage women to feel comfortable with their bodies. If, for any instance, you come across body negativity, use the knowledge you've undertaken to educate others on why body negativity or shaming is wrong.
We at Let's Sanitise think that International Women's Day should be every day. We're showing our support for when every bottle of our hand sanitiser is bought; we will donate a bottle to any charity of your choosing. We suggest researching feminist charities that look to remove the gender inequality gap. Be inspired this day and be inspired every today to help women achieve equality.
